For an artist I decided to look at Tamara De and her artwork “Portrait of Marquis d’Afflitto.” (source). She uses line and shape to make a figure that looks human, however it is much more simple, and bends and curves. She also uses color to make the man in the picture have more depth, because it’s darker in some areas the man looks 3D. His suit also has texture on it so that it looks soft just like a real suit would. There’s also emphasis on the man compared to the background because of how different his suit color is from the trees and the sky. And the background also looks much more flat compared to the man.
