Peer Critique

For my Peer Critique I am looking at Rebecca Gregory’s walk cycle.

One thing that needs to be improved is the squash and stretch of the character, they remain completely level during the entire walk cycle. Another is the left arm, the bicep and forearm are locked at a 90 degree angle and need to move a little bit to look more natural. The foot of the character remains completely flat during the entire cycle, the heel needs to roll when he moves a foot forward, and when he steps down the front of the foot needs to go down first. The hip of the character is static and needs to move to create follow through motion. What she did really well is making the character expressive through the walk, and it gives him a sense of personality. There is also good subtle movement in the shoulders.
